Depression is tough!... It’s even tougher when you have depressive tendencies in grade school and have been prescribed over a dozen antidepressant drugs with little or no effect. In this episode we look at Ketamine as a treatment for depression through a patient’s perspective.
Emerson Dameron shares his personal story of depression through childhood, and self-medicating with alcohol which led him to researching the effects that psychedelics had on depression and enrolling into UCLA’s Depression Grand Challenge Ketamine clinical trials. Emerson is a writer, storyteller, and occasional comedian based in Los Angeles. He's performed on RISK!, Drunkalogue, and Write Club LA. He's written for Vox, Psymposia, Civilized, Not For Tourists, and The Art Of The Prank. He's working on a book. Follow him on Twitter (@emersondameron) or on the 110.
